What’s your dream?
What’s the big, kickass goal you have for yourself that you are working towards? You know, that dream lifestyle/career that your heart sings out for?
You do have a dream, don’t you?
I wonder how many of us have ever even consciously considered that. Or are we so caught up in the day-to-day efforts that we forget what the big picture dream (or plan) is? Have you ever really thought about it?
I know I didn’t, for a very long time. It took a big wake up call for me to really crystalize what it really is I wanted from life. After all, as the cliché goes, you only have one life. How did I really want to spend it? Now, honestly, things were not that bad. In fact, a lot of things were great! The thing is, were they the things that I really wanted, or what others thought I should want? That’s the real question.
I spent quite some time working this out. I did vision boards, I journalled, I worked with my coach.
I got clear.
And then I started taking action.
I’m still working on it, but for the most part, it’s taking shape. The foundation blocks are in place and the rest is building up gradually around it.
So today, my question to you is this:
If you woke up tomorrow and you had your ideal life, what would it look like?
Really consider it. Take the time to flesh it out for yourself on a blank page.
- What do you want to DO with your life?
- What (or perhaps it’s WHO) do you want to BE in your life?
- What do you want to HAVE in your life?
Great questions! I know when I revisit these questions regularly, whether monthly, yearly or decadely (?), my life feels fuller, funner and more in line with who I really am. Thanks for the post 🙂
Thanks Joy. I agree, it’s easy to just drift along, but checking in with these questions helps keep us focussed.
