This post is just for fun, and part of The Suitcase Entrepreneurs 30 blog challenge that I have been participating in. If you’ve been following along, you will remember that I committed to writing 2 blog post a week as part of this challenge.
And, I am happy to report, that so far I have managed to stick to that schedule, and sometimes even do one more!
Todays question is:
“If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?”
I’m very lucky, in that I have had the opportunity to live and work in quite a few countries so far in my career: Ireland, France, US, Japan, China and the UK. It’s opened my mind in untold ways and expanded my understanding of life and different cultures.
Travel is one of my passions, and something that refills my cup regularly.
A few of the highlights so far are:
– Reaching Machu Picchu on the 4th day of our trek along the Inca Trail in glorious dawn sunlight
– backpacking around New Zealand for a month (so many special moments here, it’s impossible to narrow it down)
– watching the sun set from the rocks on the pier in Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre, Italy.
And there are so many more.
But back to the question… Where would I choose to live if I could live anywhere?
It’s tough to narrow this one down. There are so many fabulous choices.
But, ultimately, I think I would split my time between two places.
Ireland is my home, and nothing beats how beautiful it is, especially when the sun shines. Exploring the nooks and crannies of the back roads in Ireland is always an adventure, and you meet some superb characters on your travels, ALWAYS.
For the second half of the year, I think (if I MUST choose!) I would spend in Italy. The food, the wine, the people and of course the weather seal the deal for me. Without doubt it is a beautiful country, and it is full of character. Here again, as in Ireland, I think you would never be stuck for an adventure. And I’m always up for that!
I’d love to know, just for fun, where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?
