Meet the Mastermind Group: Paige Baldwin

By Joanna on December 22, 2012

And finally, in our Meet the Mastermind group series we have Paige Baldwin

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, and what you do?

I’m a writer, teacher, coach and all-around explorer. Right now my work is focused on Creativity Coaching, where I help people overcome procrastination, anxiety, self-sabotage and overwhelm in order to get started on (or get back to) the creative work they love most.

What’s one big goal you are working towards achieving currently?

In 2013 I’m launching a writing project that I’m very excited about, and I’m currently working on content for that. It’s a lot of fun, and feels even more so because it’s still sort of hush-hush.

Can you describe your experience of our Mastermind group, and what are the most important takeaways for you?

It’s been a real joy to connect with the other women in the group. Even though our work might seem unrelated on the surface, what each of us brings to the table work-wise  has ways of lending support to each of the rest of us. Beyond that, though, is the sense that we all unconditionally believe in one another and cheer one another on. That feeling of encouragement and support is the most valuable aspect of the group to me.

Apart from our fantastic Mastermind group, what keeps you motivated, especially when the going gets tough?

What keeps me most motivated is my own inherent sense that the work I do has value. We each bring our own gifts and talents to what we do, and when we’re strongly connected to that feeling, the motivation tends to bubble up naturally.

Who do you most admire, and why?

It may sound kind of cheesy to say so, but truthfully? My children. Because they’re still so beautifully aware of and awake to their daily experience, and because they assume the best of everyone in their lives.

If you found yourself shipwrecked on a desert island, with three of your favorite things, what would they be? One of them must be some sort of FOOD

Is there such a thing as a solar-powered laptop? I’d definitely take that (my window to the world, and also my best chance to eventually get off the island ;-)) and a big bucket of art supplies. As for food, I think it’d have to be dried mangoes. I really love those things.

Reflecting back on 2012, what achievement(s) are you most proud of?

2012 has been a really huge year for me on so many levels, but I think what I’m most proud of is cultivating a relationship with myself that has become compassionate, loving and kind. It’s not something I’ve always had in my life, and its presence makes a world of difference.

If you could tell your younger self anything, what would you say to her?

Where you are right now is exactly where you need to be. (Even if it’s no fun at all.)

Where can we find you, online?

For now you can follow me on Twitter: @paigebaldwin12

Keep an eye out for the work I’ll be debuting early next year!
